Description

A delicious stir-fry featuring tender chicken thighs and fresh cabbage, enhanced with flavorful seasonings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, sliced
  • 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and gochujang.
  2. Add sliced chicken to the marinade and let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  5. Toss in the chopped cabbage and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly wilted.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add some sliced bell peppers or snap peas.
  • This dish pairs well with jasmine rice or brown rice.
