- 1 cup salted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar. Stir in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes, until lightly golden.
- While baking, mix coconut, toffee bits, and sweetened condensed milk in a separate bowl.
- Spread the coconut mixture evenly over the baked crust.
- Bake again for 25 minutes, until the top is golden and edges are bubbling.
- Cool completely before slicing. For clean cuts, chill in the fridge for 30 minutes first.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use unsalted butter instead of salted.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
