Description
A delicious quesadilla filled with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and fresh toppings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (Can substitute with turkey, chicken, or plant-based options.)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 4 large tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar or a blend recommended.)
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 medium avocado, sliced (Optional.)
- Salsa or your favorite burger sauce for dipping
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula while it cooks. Season it with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
- Lay one tortilla on a flat surface. On one half of the tortilla, sprinkle a generous layer of cheese, then add a portion of the cooked beef on top. Add some more cheese on top of the beef for that melty goodness.
- Fold the tortilla in half to create a half-moon shape. In the same skillet, add a little oil to lightly grease the bottom and place the folded quesadilla in it. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden and crispy, adding more oil as necessary.
- Once cooked, remove the quesadilla from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Cut into wedges and serve with fresh toppings like lettuce and tomato, and don’t forget the salsa for dipping.
