Description

An easy and delicious recipe for Hawaiian ham and Swiss sliders that are perfect for parties or a cozy family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 pieces Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound sliced ham (use your favorite deli ham)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (rich and nutty flavor)
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter (adds richness)
  • 0 Tablespoon poppy seeds (for a whimsical touch)
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion (adds flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (for umami kick)
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (brings warmth)
  • 0 teaspoon kosher salt (enhances flavors)
  • 0 teaspoon black pepper (provides heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 13×9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping them attached at the back and lay the bottom in the baking dish.
  3. Layer 6 slices of Swiss cheese, followed by ham and then the remaining Swiss cheese over the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Position the top half of the rolls back on top of the layers and press down gently.
  5. Melt the butter and mix in poppy seeds, dried minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, kosher salt, and black pepper, then brush it over the tops.
  6. Cover the dish loosely with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Slice the baked sliders into 12 servings and serve warm.

Notes
