  • 3 Eggs (binds the batter)
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour (gluten-free flour works as a substitute)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt (balances sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (opt for pure for best flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract (omit if allergic)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (can be melted directly in baking dish)
  • 2 cups Cherries (fresh, frozen, or canned (drained))

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Layer the cherries evenly at the bottom of the skillet.
  4. Blend together eggs, milk, heavy cream, ½ cup sugar, flour, salt, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Pour the batter over the cherries.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle remaining sugar and bake for another 25-30 minutes.
