- 1 cup Heavy Cream (or substitute with more milk)
- 3 Eggs (binds the batter)
- 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour (gluten-free flour works as a substitute)
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt (balances sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (opt for pure for best flavor)
- 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract (omit if allergic)
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (can be melted directly in baking dish)
- 2 cups Cherries (fresh, frozen, or canned (drained))
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt the unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer the cherries evenly at the bottom of the skillet.
- Blend together eggs, milk, heavy cream, ½ cup sugar, flour, salt, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
- Pour the batter over the cherries.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle remaining sugar and bake for another 25-30 minutes.
- Let cool for about 30 minutes before serving.
