Description

Delicious and decorative cheese ball ornaments perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
  • Pretzel sticks, broken into small pieces for ornament hangers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Cover the cheese mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.
  3. While the cheese mixture is chilling, prepare the ornament decorations. Place the chopped parsley, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and black sesame seeds in separate shallow dishes.
  4. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
  5. Roll each cheese ball in one of the ornament decorations, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Insert a small piece of pretzel stick into the top of each cheese ball to create an ornament hanger.
  7. Arrange the cheese ball ornaments on a serving platter.
  8. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
