Description
A comforting and delicious casserole made with ground beef, cheese, and crispy tater tots.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
- Add diced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For an extra kick, consider adding jalapeños or hot sauce.
