Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook Macaroni: Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Cook Bacon: In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and chop into pieces. Set aside.
  4. Cook Beef: In the same skillet, add diced onions and cook until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheese.
  6. Mix with Macaroni: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with the beef mixture. Stir until well combined.
  7. Assemble Casserole: Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and chopped bacon over the top.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Cool and Serve: Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of hot sauce or barbecue sauce to the beef mixture.
  • You can substitute the cream of mushroom soup with cream of chicken or cheddar cheese soup for a different flavor.
  • Add some vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for additional texture and taste.
  • Use a combination of cheeses such as mozzarella or Monterey Jack for a richer flavor.
