  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 4 caramel white chocolate apples 1x

Description

A delicious treat featuring apples coated in white chocolate and caramel, perfect for dessert or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium-sized apples, washed and dried
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • popsicle sticks or wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apples: Remove the stems from the apples and insert a popsicle stick or wooden skewer into the top of each apple.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Coat the Apples: Dip each apple into the melted white chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off and place the apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Set the Chocolate: Refrigerate the chocolate-coated apples for about 15 minutes until the chocolate is set.
  5. Add Caramel: Warm the caramel sauce gently in the microwave or on the stovetop. Spoon caramel over the top of each chocolate-covered apple, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  6. Add Graham Cracker Coating: Roll the lower half of the caramel-coated apple in the graham cracker crumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  7. Finish Setting: Return the apples to the refrigerator and chill for another 15 minutes or until the caramel and chocolate are firm.

Notes

  • Make sure the apples are fully dried to help the chocolate and caramel adhere properly.
  • Try using different types of apples, like Granny Smith, for a tart flavor contrast.
  • For added texture, consider drizzling with dark chocolate for a decorative finish.
